Position Overview:
At DTG, every deployment is a chance to empower people—not just install systems. As Implementation Team Lead, you'll be the keystone ensuring our deployments are technically excellent, intuitively operable, and customer-owned from day one.
You’re not here to watch from the sidelines. You’re a hands-on leader who mentors, builds, and oversees deployments that are trusted and sustainable. You’ll be the bridge between our vision for scalable, human-centered automation and the gritty, detail-rich work of making it real on the factory floor.
This role is for someone who leads through action and clarity—ensuring every Automation Integration Specialist is supported, every solution is tested and documented, and every customer walks away saying: “I get it. I own it.”

What You’ll Do: 
Lead Technical Execution
·        Oversee system configuration, SCADA/HMI development, and PLC code deployment for customer projects.
·        Act as a QA checkpoint for deployment quality—verifying stability, scalability, and alignment with project architecture.
·        Perform and supervise testing and commissioning, including FAT, SAT, and live plant validations.
Coach and Mentor
·        Guide Automation Integration Specialists through technical execution and problem-solving.
·        Build reusable standards and templates to improve deployment consistency.
·        Reinforce field best practices across logic development, testing, and documentation.
Own Customer Enablement
·        Lead on-site knowledge transfer and initial training for customer operations teams.
·        Ensure the “what, why, and how” of every system is clear, usable, and documented.
·        Support early post-deployment adoption and user confidence.
 
Collaborate Cross-Functionally
·        Work with Project Managers and Director of Implementation to align on timelines, risks, and handoff readiness.
·        Partner with Platform Solutions Manager to ensure adherence to technical standards and elevate field-based improvement feedback.
·        Support Product Manager in translating feedback into toolkit and product improvements

Note: The key accountabilities are not an exhaustive list and other duties may be assigned as needed.

What You Bring: 
Must-Have
·       5+ years of experience in automation, systems integration, or controls engineering.
·       Demonstrated success in PLC programming, SCADA/HMI development, and industrial deployments.
·       Experience with AGV/SGV deployments (OTTO, Kuka, ANT).
·       Experience leading teams or mentoring junior engineers/technicians.
·       Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols, networking, and I/O.
·       Able to travel to deployment sites across North America.
Nice-to-Have
·       Familiarity with FT Optix, Ignition, Kepware, and/or NEXIA.
·       Experience in commissioning middleware or interoperability platforms.
·       Exposure to MES, WMS, ERP systems or enterprise integration protocols (e.g., MQTT, REST, OPC-UA).
·       Background in customer-facing training or enablement programs.
